I had wanted to set my dissertation as a book for some while and took the opportunity to do so recently. I had written it on the 'slasher' movie phenomenon and based it on John Carpenter's 1978 classic 'Halloween' and it's influences and legacy.
We all have to complete a dissertation in our time at uni and rather than it becoming something that is treated as a chore and a bind, I took the view that it was an integral part of the course and therefore put a lot of effort into it.
I felt that it warranted a design treatment other than A4 and ringbound and the results took the form of a custom-sized, perfect-bound 50-page book.
I am considering publishing it, once it has had a second print run.
